We had some fun the week before spring break with this fun CVC QR reader activity. I wanted my students moving around (you know how restless they can be before a break) and I also wanted to assess their ability to read a CVC word with picture assistance. Students were instructed to choose a picture page and then hunt around the room for their QR codes (indicated by the clipart at the bottom of their picture page). The QR reader shows them a CVC (or CCVC) word that matches a picture on their picture page. Students then write the word next to the matching picture. It's so much more fun than a regular egg hunt AND it gets them reading! Download the activity here.

We also had fun bunny day led by my student intern. We learned about what they look like, what they eat, and even how they feel! She brought in a real rabbit and we had so much fun with her. As one of the students' bunny-themed activities they described different bunnies using Chatterpix. I instructed students to pull one of the pictures I had posted for them on the GoogleDrive and create a talking rabbit. Didn't they turn out great?
